I have a theory on this season’s finale. I’m not going to link any spoilers. I feel like I’m going crazy, so excuse me if I’m a bit weird.
Stefan and Damon are dealing with Klaus’ body. Matt/Jeremy/Caroline calls Stefan and brothers split up. Bonnie joins Damon.
Elena wakes up and talks to Matt. Stefan comes back. Stefan gives Elena vampire blood to heal. Damon and Bonnie deal with Klaus. Jeremy goes to the Grill and meets Ric. They talk and Jeremy does a reckless thing to protect Elena, probably tells him where Klaus is. Stefan and Elena kiss.
Caroline and Tyler and their moms (double Forwood?) talk about their situation (the council knows about Caroline and Tyler). Rebekah comes after Damon all like “Where is my brother?”, then Ric attacks them. Bonnie wakes Klaus and does something witchy. Klaus wakes up. Rebekah runs leaving Damon with Ric.
Elijah shows up and offers Elena a deal. Stefan leaves to save Damon. Elena stays at home waiting. She talks to Caroline. Caroline leaves. Then Elena decides to go somewhere with Matt. Rebekah is on the bridge. The accident happens. Elijah/Stefan saves Elena and Matt. Some crazy weird super-twist happens. Damon gets his ass kicked.
Elena wakes up in the hospital. Meredith is there. Elena enters transition. She calls Damon. They talk. ‘Introspective’ scene happens. Elena says something important. Damon says something important. Elena decides not to complete the transition. Damon accepts her decision.
In the end Bonnie strikes a deal with Elijah or Klaus. Elena feeds on human blood. She remembers Damon’s love confession and chooses him. Damon has yet to find out. Katherine shows up.
